And this is why Chris Harris is awesome.

This is my new favorite Chris Harris video. Yes, f40s and f50s are awesome, but for some reason a journalist in a very slow 60 year old car is just perfect.

He sounds like a very excitable old man while driving that car. Love it.

The hat and his new phrasing. Hilarious. This guy was driving a P1 a few weeks before, now he has 12hp.

He's got such a good attitude about himself and the car. It's got a sense of humour about it and he doesn't take himself too seriously while driving the car. It just looks like he's genuinely enjoying himself and that's fantastic.
Also, and not that I think they need to yet but if the TGUK crew is looking to perhaps retire or adopt a new member, they need to seriously consider Chris for exactly the reasons stated above. I also think he'd fit well with some of the adventures and shenanigans that Top Gear gets up to.

Utterly perfect, this is why this guy is great. He just gets it. Everything he said in this video speaks to my heart. My 40bhp Mini keeps me interested and motivated just as much as the 485bhp Italian supercar parked next to it.

I didn't know that I needed a 2CV, but I really do.

Not a fan of the 2CV. I know it's iconic and everyone fawns over it but in reality it was a econobox designed for French farmers to replace their horse and buggy.

Agreed. It's amazing how old econoboxes have become so iconic. My car included. I admire the car for what it was and how it was created. That along with Chris doing a video of one is the primary reason for my excitement.

I get a similar sensation driving my 1986 4runner. I have to constantly be aware of inclines and speed I carry through corners. It's just what happens when you use 100 horsepower to move 2 tons of lifted truck with big tires. It's not as pronounced as the 2CV, but still requires management. Fastest I ever went on the flat was about 80mph after several miles of straight road with the throttle matted.
It happened on this sweet 31 mile stretch of I-5 southbound. Probably took me a good 5-8 miles to reach Vmax.

It is for me - I don't get my rock off looking at purpose-built econoboxes. Now, purpose-built econo-Jeeps are different!

So, 7 mins in and all the 'joys' he has expressed about actually driving it match my experience a few weeks ago doing a Heavy Rigid truck course. Leaving huge amounts of space at intersections, anticipating to manage changes of incline, slow steering, ghastly acceleration. Surprised it doesn't have a little hydraulic toggle to change between low and high range. Dushhhh
